Parts Work (IFS) Therapy
Parts work therapy from Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) is based on the simple yet deeply helpful concept that within each of us exists an internal system of "parts" that influence our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
For example you may have an "anxious part" that worries about always doing the right thing, or a "inner-critic part" that accuses you of not being good enough.

Parts work therapy helps you get to know all your parts and shift habits that are no longer working for you.

Why Parts Work Therapy?
Reduce Inner Conflict
Many people struggle with internal battles (e.g., wanting to rest but feeling guilty). Parts work helps conflicting parts of you communicate and collaborate rather than oppose one another.
Emotional Regulation
Parts work has a whole system designed to support what are called "protector parts". By getting to know these protective parts of you, it becomes easier to manage your emotions and feel greater balance and ease.
Build Self-Compassion
Instead of criticizing or rejecting difficult emotions, this approach encourages a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself, to reduce shame and self-judgment.
